Margaret Viola (Mullen) Leeman, age 92 of Fergus Falls, MN died November 25, 2011 at TLC Serenity Home in Grand Rapids, MN

Margaret was born on August 19, 1919 in Maine Township near Fergus Falls to George and Sarah (Grice) Mullen. She graduated from Underwood High School and Moorhead State Teachers College. She taught in rural Underwood one room schools.
She married Eldon G. Leeman in 1948. She worked for North American Creamery and Montgomery Ward before she went to work for the State of MN Regional Treatment Center in Fergus Falls. She retired in 1984 after 28 years of service. Margaret had a passion helping people with mental disabilities. She loved her work and was a supporter of integration in the community long before such legislation was enacted.
After retiring, she spent many hours volunteering at Pioneer Home, the food shelf and the senior center. She was a member of Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church, St. Teresa Circle, VFW Auxiliary and retired state employees group. She loved her "walking" group of ladies. She especially loved spending time at her summer cabin on Pickerel Lake.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Eldon; an infant daughter; 3 brothers, Maynard, Floren and James Mullen; and one sister, Mildred Scully.
Margaret will be sadly missed by her son, Daniel, Grand Rapids; daughter, Lana Colleen Bjorgum (Larke Huntley), Grand Rapids, MN; her brother, Vincent Mullen, Fergus Falls; sister-in-law, Michele Mullen, Fargo; grandchildren, Sarah Polhamus (Travis), Emilie Rondeau (Kalab) and Hilary Huntley; step grandchildren, Nathan Huntley (Julie), Elizabeth Huntley (Andrew), and Maria Huntley (Brian); and 5 great-grandchildren , Ava, Brendan, Weston, Molly and Lola; several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Mental Health Education Fund at the Grand Rapids Area Community Foundation 350 NW 1st Ave Ste E, Grand Rapids, MN 55744.
Visitation: One hour prior to services at the church
Mass of Christian Burial: 11 AM Friday, December 2, 2011, in Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church, Fergus Falls
Interment: St. James Catholic Cemetery – Maine, MN
