Marnell Baker Jason

Marnell Baker Jason, 69, of Pelican Rapids, passed away on Sunday, February 16, 2025, at Wabasso Rehabilitation and Wellness Center in Wabasso, Minnesota.

Marnell Ann Reinke was born on May 15, 1955, in Appleton, Minnesota, to Gustav and Olive Reinke. She grew up in various areas of Minnesota.

Marnell married Raymond Jason on September 17, 1999. The couple made their home in Ottertail County. The couple enjoyed taking long drives to various destinations.

She enjoyed BINGO, watching movies, and drawing. Marnell was a person who was a lot of fun and loved to laugh.

Marnell is survived by her brother, Skip (Linda) Reinke, and their family; son, Donald Baker, his children, Drew Baker and Kailey Baker; daughter, Denise Brown, her children, Mickayla Oakland and Isaac Brown; stepson, Raymond Jason Jr., and family; sister-in-law, Rochelle Jason (Mark McFadden), and their family; as well as many other nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Gustav and Olive; husband, Raymond Jason; ex-husband, David Baker; her siblings, Donna, Lavone “Vonnie”, Eugene “Butch”, Bernard “Bud”, Boyd “Paul”, Jafkee “Jackie”, and Harold.
