Mary Tetzlaff was born in Itasca, TX on February 10, 1916 to Albert and Annie Baker. She was baptized and confirmed in the Methodist Church in Itasca. Mary attended Itasca Public School.

After completing high school, she went to college in Dallas, TX. While in college she met and married Emil V Larson DVM on December 27, 1935. They lived in Texas, California and Idaho before moving to Minnesota. They bought the family veterinarian practice and settled in Evansville. After retiring from the bank, she worked for Ione and Phyllis Larson in Fergus Falls.

Mary loved to read, fish and garden. She was a member of the Garden Club in Evansville for as long as she could participate. She dearly treasured her moments with people. She said she could never separate her family and friends because she loved almost everyone with all of her heart. She belonged to St. Petri at the time of her death.

She is survived by one daughter, Janie (Terry) Torgrimson of Evansville, one sister-in-law, Janie Baker of Itasca TX, as well as many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by several family members and friends.
