Michael Partain

Michael Partain, 71, of Erhard, died on Tuesday, December 28, 2021, at Sanford Health in Fargo, ND.

Michael Martin was born on April 29, 1950, in El Dorado, Illinois, the son of Innas “Sparky” and Beulah Oreen (Wolden) Partain. He was baptized and confirmed into the Christian Faith. Mike attended Fergus Falls High School, graduating in 1968.

On July 20, 1974, he married Kristie Kay Schwab in Esmond, North Dakota. The family made their home in Fergus Falls. The couple were blessed with two sons, Shane and Jono.

Mike enjoyed anything outdoors, from black powder hunting to cutting wood. He attended many black powder rendezvous throughout the Midwest and was a Scout Master for Boy Scout Troop 305. Mike was a member of the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, Lake Country Mountaineers, and the Boy Scouts of America.

Michael is survived by his wife, Kristie; two sons, Shane (Pam) and Jono (Mallory) Partain; a sister, Norita Filz; three grandchildren, Mollie, Colton and Elliot; a great grandchild, Maci along with numerous family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Innas and Beulah Partain and brother-in-law, Jerry Filz.

A Celebration of Mike’s life will be held Sunday, May 15 at Elks Point, 20971 Elks Point Rd, Fergus Falls, MN

Open house from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm. Ceremony at 2:00. Lunch will be served.
