Mildred "Millie" Rismoen (Trosdahl), 96, of Battle Lake, Minnesota, passed away peacefully on January 16, 2015 at the Battle Lake Good Samaritan Center, under the care of Lakeland Hospice.
Millie was born on April 4, 1918 in Nidaros Township, the middle daughter of Joseph and Minnie Trosdahl.
On May 3, 1936, Millie married Alf Rismoen. After their marriage they lived in Washington State. In 1949, they moved to Clitherall, MN, and in 1952 they settled in Battle Lake, MN, where she was employed in retail, until her retirement.
Millie enjoyed baking, especially Norwegian pastries and goodies, gardening, quilting, crafting and spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by her son, Harold "Bud" Rismoen of Santa Ana, CA; her sister, Gladyce Miller of Henning, MN; grandchildren, Jody Rismoen and his wife Maria of Mission Viejo, CA; Becky Rismoen of Wahpeton, ND; Tamy Beers and her husband Charlie of Aliso Viejo, CA; Brian Rismoen and his wife Sue of Fergus Falls, MN; Marsha Magee and her husband Jeff of Calimesa, CA; Julie Rismoen of Fergus Falls, MN; Greg Rismoen and his wife Layla of Columbia Heights, MN; 17 great-grandchildren and 17 great-great-grandchildren; as well as many friends and family. Millie was preceded in death by her husband, Alf Rismoen, her son, Allen Rismoen, her daughter-in-law, Sandra "Sandy" Rismoen, 4 brothers and 1 sister.
