Myra Templin, 87 of Fergus Falls died Wednesday, July 4, 2012 at Broen Home, Fergus Falls.
Myra Emilie Templin was born April 12, 1925 to Walter and Mary (Neske) Jaekel at Waconia, MN. She grew up near Waconia and received her education at District 34. Myra was united in marriage to Elmer Templin on May 26, 1948 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Waconia. The couple made their home on their farm north of Plato. They dairy farmed until 1990 when they retired but remained on the farm. After Elmer and Myra retired, they enjoyed each other's company at the cabin on Augusta Lake. Elmer passed away on April 26, 2006. Shortly after, Myra moved to Orchard Estates in Glencoe where she lived until May of 2009 when she moved to Fergus Falls.
She enjoyed playing bingo, cards and dice, doing crafts at Mill Street Residence with the children, visiting and having coffee with other residents. She liked to joke around with the nurses and doctors.
Myra is survived by her children, Mark (Maie) Templin of Fergus Falls, Brian (Janice) Templin of Sauk Rapids, and Cindy (Keith) Latzke of Lester Prairie; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sister, Marcella (James) Renke of Waconia; brothers, Orville Jaekel of North Carolina and Waldo Jaekel of Watertown, MN.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Mary Jaekel; her husband, Elmer; one brother Leslie Jaekel; one sister, Ella Schmeckpepper.
Funeral Services: 2:00 PM Monday, July 9, 2012 at Light and Life Auditorium of the Broen Home, Fergus Falls, Minnesota
Visitation: one hour prior to the service at the Broen Home
