Nolan Boyd Moebius, 83, of Dalton, MN, died on Thursday, August 8, 2024, at his residence.

Nolan Moebius, beloved son of Orlin Ellsworth and Clarabelle Ruth (Hansel) Moebius, was born on October 22, 1940, in Fergus Falls, MN. He was baptized and confirmed at Zion Lutheran church of Dalton. After attending Morris Ag School, Nolan enlisted in the Army National Guard, where he served his country with pride.

Nolan married Gloria Swendsrud in Dalton and to this union came two daughters, Jamie and Tammi. Nolan later married Delores Frovarp and had a wonderful, blended family.

Throughout his life, Nolan had a strong work ethic, initially working on dairy and grain farms before transitioning to a career in construction. From various construction sites including Burgess and H & R Construction, to starting his own c business DND Construction in 1986, Nolan poured his passion and dedication into his work as a known workaholic. Nolan was widely known for his intricate detail in his landscaping work he performed, building beautiful retaining walls and rip rapped shorelines for all to admire and performing varied state projects along I94.

Nolan enjoyed spending time at the family farm, which was a happening place. He worked hard and played hard. Nolan was a wonderful , committed husband, father grandfather, and great friend. He will be missed by all who knew him. God bless the memory of Nolan Moebius. A special thankyou to wonderful neighbors in the Dalton community, the supportive staff at Prairie Ridge Medical center in Elbow Lake and the Dialysis Center in Fergus Falls.

Nolan is survived by his loving wife, Delores Moebius, children, Jamie Bartch, Tammi Larson, Melody Huseth, Cindy (Doug) Veum, Dan Frovarp and Dean (Nikki) Moebius; grandchildren, Brienna (Justin), Branden (Brittany), Kody and Stephanie; great grandchildren, Kayleigh and Mykenna; a sister-in-law, Mary Moebius and her children, Penny, Donald and Tom; along with numerous other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Orlin and Clarabelle Moebius and brother, Rodney Moebius.

A private family service will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers memorial preferred to the Grant County Humane Society or memorial of donor’s choice.

Interment: Ten Mile Lake Cemetery, Dalton, MN
