Patricia M. Angus, 81, of Fergus Falls, died peacefully Wednesday, March 26, 2014, at the PioneerCare Center with family by her side.
Patricia Mae (LeBeau) Angus was born August 18, 1932 in Marshall, MN to Zephire LeBeau and Marie (Lagesse) LeBeau. She was baptized in Catholic Faith. Patricia attended elementary school at St. Joseph's Academy and Marshall High School, graduating in 1950. She moved to Minneapolis after high school and worked for the Greyhound Bus Company.
Patricia was united in marriage to Charles Angus on September 27, 1952 at Minneapolis, MN. Five children were born to this union. The family moved to Blaine, MN for a time, and later to Starbuck, MN. The family also lived in Omaha, NE, and Fergus Falls, MN, where they resided at the time of Patricia's death. Her early years of marriage were devoted to raising their five children. After all the children began school, Patricia began working part time outside the home at Lundeen's, Holiday Inn and Northern Aire Bowling Lanes, all in Fergus Falls. Most of her working years were spent as an Optician with Benson Optical. While in Omaha, she continued to work as an Optician and after the family's move back to Fergus Falls, she again worked for Benson's and 20/20 Optical. She retired in 1984. She was a member of the Lioness Club for many years, serving a term as president.
Patricia is survived by her husband, Charles; children, Kimberly (Jeff) Bogen, Jackson, WY; Robert (Sheila) Angus, Ely, MN; Todd (Colleen) Angus, Bloomington, MN; and Jonathan (Kristi) Angus, Fergus Falls, MN. She is also survived by grandchildren, Ryan and Brianne Bogen, Amanda and Charles Angus, Trevor and Tricia Angus, Lauren and Jack Angus; brothers, James (Connie) LeBeau of Duluth, MN; Walter (LuAnn) LeBeau of Las Vegas, NV; Larry (Patt) LeBeau of Prescott, AZ; sister, Beverly Maguill of Las Vegas, NV; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, Scott; her parents; seven sisters and four brothers.
Patricia enjoyed her family, especially her eight grandchildren. Prior to the onset of arthritis, she enjoyed knitting and crocheting. She also enjoyed watching TV, especially movies, playing cards and board games, always with a passion to win! She also enjoyed many summers at the family cabin on Lake Miltona.
Memorials are preferred to the Alzheimer's Foundation of America or Mount Carmel Ministries.
Memorial Service: 2:00 PM Monday, March 31, 2014, at Calvary Free Lutheran Church, Fergus Falls, with visitation one hour prior to services at the church.
