Patricia Ann Stock

Patricia Ann Stock, 92, of Fergus Falls, MN passed away November 7, 2024.

 Pat was born February 21, 1932, to Alexander & Wilhelmina Sha in Otter Tail County MN. When Pat was young, her family lived on a farm near Carlisle. She graduated high school Fergus Falls, MN in the spring of 1950. She married Ordean Larson after high school and moved to California. When Ordean joined the Air Force they moved to many bases where their three boys Jarl, Jeffrey and James were born.

Later she married Donald Stock on August 19, 1962. They had two daughters, Denise and DeAnn. They farmed and raised beef cattle in Orwell Twp until their retirement. Don and Pat were one of the first families in Otter Tail County to host agricultural trainees through the International Agricultural Exchange Association (IAEA), starting in 1980 and ending in 2002.

 Pat was a member of Living Faith Church all the years she lived in Fergus Falls. She was baptized and confirmed during the time the church was called First United Church of Christ. Pat served on church council and served as funeral coordinator for many years and was a member of the women’s guild and Priscilla circle.

 In her retirement years she enjoyed quilting, having lunch with the Red Hat ladies, working at Viking Café, the Senior Center and serving on the VFW Auxiliary.

 Preceding her in death were her parents, her siblings Lawrence (Margaret) Sha, Roy (Marian) Sha, Esther (Ira) Brown, Henry (Joyce) Sha, Harold (Ann) Sha, Lloyd (Louise) Sha, Chester Sha, brothers-in-law, Selvin Brenden and Harold Dosdall. Son-in-law, Paul VanWechel, and grandson Jeremy Floberg.

 She is survived by five children, JD (Pat) Stock of Ely MN, Jeff (Sonja) Stock of Onalaska WI, Jim Stock of Fergus Falls, Denise (Scott) DeMartelaere of Fergus Falls, and DeAnn VanWechel of Fergus Falls. Grandchildren, Curt (Kay) Floberg, Tammy (Derek) Johnson, Nichole Barnes, Suzette Stock, Samantha (Jason) Little, Kristopher Stock, Amanda (Robert) Randall, Angel (Roger) Blevins, Joshua (Emily) Stock, Emma (Jordan) Rasmusson, Hana (Lucas Bakken-Heck) DeMartelaere, and Riley Mollerud, numerous great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. Three sisters-in-law Margaret Brenden of Moorhead MN, Arleen Dosdall of West Fargo ND, and Nathalie Stock of Zimmerman MN.

 Pat’s family would like to thank the staff of Pioneer Heartland Cottage and PioneerCare nursing home.

 Visitation will be 4-6 pm Sunday, November 10th, with a 5:30 p.m. prayer service at Glende-Nilson Funeral Home in Fergus Falls and continuing one hour prior to the funeral service at the church.

 Funeral service is at 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 11, at Living Faith Church in Fergus Falls.

 Interment will be at United Church of Christ Cemetery north of Fergus Falls at a later date.
