Patsy Ostergaard

Patsy LaVonne Ostergaard, born June 8, 1941 in Evansville Minnesota to Earl and Martha Rossum, passed away on April 18, 2022, at age 80, in Pensacola FL.

She is survived by her husband David, children Craig (Natalie), Cary (Lillian), and Cathy Zimmer (Gary) and her grandchildren Carly, Madissen, Luke, and Adam.  The ever-strong spirit in Patsy was not one to give up easily!  After a courageous battle against lung cancer and several other conditions over the past 4 and a half years, she finally got the angel wings she deserved and went to her eternal rest.  Patsy was a loving daughter, mother, grandmother, caring wife to David for 62 years, loyal friend to many, dedicated choir director, and such a gracious woman, who spent her life loving and serving her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  Patsy made long lasting friends everywhere she went and lived.  She grew up in Evansville Minnesota.  Had seven fantastic years on the Mississippi River in Genoa Wisconsin.  Thirty-three wonderful years in Youngsville Pennsylvania.  Twenty adventurous years of camping in the Florida Keys.  She was passionate about life and lived it to the fullest enjoying walking, singing, reading, biking, kayaking, playing the piano, yoga, and most importantly, her fellowship in Christ. She was always concerned about others, and even in her final days, when her body was failing, she would always ask “How are you today?”  She is missed dearly.

A memorial service will be held at Faith Lutheran Church in Evansville, Minnesota on June 25, 2022.
