Remembering the life of....
Phyllis Lorraine (Sandberg) Johnson was born on November 23, 1921 in Sheho Saskatchewan, the daughter of Axel and Clara (Anderson) Sandberg. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Faith.
In November 14, 1939, Phyllis was united in marriage to Harvey Norman Johnson in Minneapolis, MN. They were long time residents in many places such as Barrett, Breckenridge, and Melby.
She was an excellent cook, enjoyed working in her yard, redecorating her home, socializing, and dancing to old time music (especially Jimmy Jensen). Every year, her Christmas light display was a favorite for many but it was her wonderful smile that brought people to her home. Phyllis was very devoted to her family and friends.
On February 4, 2016, Phyllis passed away at the age of 94.
Phyllis is survived by her son Vincent Johnson of Melby ; daughter Gwenythe Dowden of Alexandria; grandchildren, Holly (John) Bjorseth of Buffalo, Randy (Penny White) Roseth of Chanhassen, Timothy (Katherine) Roseth of Minnetonka, Kelly (Stuart) Hendrickson of Albert Lea, Kristine (Shane) Hendrickson of Farmington, Kathy (Brett Bogenrief) Johnson of Melby, Kandace (Jim) Norby of Ashby and Shaun Johnson of Melby; 18 great-grandchildren; sister -in-laws, Audrey Johnson and Florence Nelson of Evansville; brother-in-law Donald Johnson of Cedar Rapids IA and numerous relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents Axel and Clara; husband, Harvey; three sisters, Edna Swenson, Dora Lang, Marvel Sandberg; and one brother, Milo Sandberg.

A time for gathering and fellowship will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, February 19, 2016 at the Christina Lake Lutheran Church in Melby, MN
