Rhonda Stoen

Rhonda Rae Stoen (Anderson), 66, of Fergus Falls, passed away Thursday February 20, 2025.

Rhonda was born February 26, 1958 to Ronald and Shirley (Johnson) Anderson in Fergus Falls.

Rhonda attended high school in Fergus Falls and graduated in 1976. She continued her education at technical school in Staples, MN for her graphics arts degree in 1976. She then used her amazing people skills while working at Homecrest and Pamida in Wadena, always having a smile and lending a hand. Rhonda got to know everyone around town when she bartended at the Holiday Inn in Fergus Falls from 1977-1978. Rhonda knew she wanted to do something meaningful and helpful with her life, so she went back to school in Wadena to get her LPN degree and started working at St. William’s Living Center in Parkers Prairie. She found the job to be fulfilling and found joy in working with the elderly.

In 1977, Rhonda married Richard Cline and lived in the country by Browerville, MN. They had three children together: Renee, Robert, and Clara.

She moved to Fergus Falls in 2005 After getting divorced. Rhonda found love and happiness again with Kirby Stoen. They were united in marriage on August 24, 2013 at Jewett Lake.

Rhonda found joy in a variety of things in her lifetime. From going to lake as much as possible to fish fry’s, country music and hunting for rocks to put in her rock garden. During the hot Minnesota summers, Rhonda would sit with a glass of wine or a margarita to cool down. She was a woman of many interests that didn’t always go together, like the Saw movies and Christmas. Taking pride in decorating her tree to make the holiday feel even more special.

Rhonda had a special place in her heart for animals. She had a lot of love and caring for her three Boston Terriers: Pudgie, Poppy, and Polly. While Rhonda enjoyed all of these things, her favorite pastime was spending time with her three children, finding joy in all the little moments with them and instilling her values and love unto them.

She is preceded in death by her parents Ronald and Shirley Anderson, sister Dawn Anderson, and her son Robert Cline.

Memories of Rhonda will remain with her husband Kirby Stoen of Fergus falls; daughters Renee (Bryan) Becker of Bertha and Clara (Sam) Robben of Staples; daughter-in-law Tracy Bowman of Bertha; sister Buppy (Harvey) Moe of Fergus Falls; grandchildren: Andrew Becker of Wadena, Madelline (Adam) Arneson of Deer Creek, Brady Becker of Wadena, Alayna (Melvin) Cline of Wadena, Natalie Cline of Bertha, Charlotte and Violet Robben of Staples; great-grandchildren Camille and Asher Arneson of Deer Creek. Along with several nieces, nephews, friends, and family. 

A funeral service will be held Thursday February 27, 2025, at 11:00am at Glende-Nilson Funeral Home in Fergus Falls. The visitation will be 10:00am at Glende-Nilson Funeral Home.
