Battle Lake

Richard (Dick) L Schwoch Sr, age 88, passed away Monday, October 21. He died at Lake Region Hospital in Fergus Falls due to Covid complications. Dick was born in Rib Lake, Wisconsin on August 2, 1936, to Elmer and Hazel Schwoch. When he was 8 years old the family moved to Conrad, Montana. After High School graduation, Dick served in the Air Force for 4 years in Anchorage, Alaska as an aircraft mechanic. Dick married the love of his life: Phyllis Fuder on October 29, 1960. Together they raised two children in the Twin Cities. He loved the Lord with all his heart. He was an avid reader of the Bible and loved Bible studies at church. Dick loved making anything and everything with wood. He is preceded in death by his son Richard (Rick), parents, and brothers Willam and Robert. He is survived by his wife Phyllis (married 64 years), daughter Brenda Loge (Carl), grandchildren Daniel, Joshua (Kayla) and Caleb (Heather), AJ, Kate (Eric), Sam (Emma), and great grandchildren Bowyn and Brooks.

The Celebration Service will be December 14 at the Battle Lake Alliance Church. Visitation will be at 12:00. The service will be at 1:00, with lunch to follow.
