Robert Burns

Col. Robert W. Burns, 65, longtime resident of Ottertail County (East Lost Lake), passed away suddenly on June 21, 2014.

He served 20 proud years on active duty in the military, received his Masters in English from St. Cloud State, served in the Korean Conflict and Afghanistan.

He is survived by son Eric Hanson Burns (wife Cate), son Robert Walker Burns Jr. (wife Wendy), daughter Aubrei Burns Conway (husband Carl Ray), daughter Roxanne Smith (husband Ryan), daughter Jennifer Burns Daube (husband Jason), beloved Sister Georgia Decheine (sons Mike and Keith Kellner), and 9 grandchildren. He was funny, adventurous, loved, prideful, giving, smart and wonderful in so many ways. He will be missed by many.

He served his country proud and strong and would like to be honored and celebrated in life and memory at Guzzlers Bar and Grill on Ottertail Lake, Friday June 27th at 6pm. Please join us in sharing your memories.
