Ruth Zirbel, age 101, of Hoffman, died Wednesday, November 10, 2010 at Hoffman Good Samaritan Center.
Ruth Zirbel was born in

on October 15, 1909 to Fred and Emma (Johnson) Ellingson into a family of 10.
She worked in
Minneapolis
,
Duluth
and
Fargo
where she met and married Raymond Zirbel.
They were married December 28, 1954 in
Fargo
.
The couple resided on Raymond’s farm near
Chasley
,
ND
.
In the late 1960’s they moved to the Erhard, MN area and later to
Battle
Lake
.
Raymond passed away in 1984.
Ruth moved to
Alexandria
and later to Hoffman.
She entered Hoffman Good Samaritan Center in July 2003.
Ruth is survived by her brother Engwald Ellingson of
Princeton
, several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Irene Ellingson, Stella Ellingson, Lily Thedin, Frances Anderson, Celia Ellingson, Isabel Anderson, Sylvia Thedin and Clifford Ellingson.
