The Angels took Stan Zhorne (Larry) home to heaven on April 1, 2014, surrounded by his family in the care of Hospice.
Stan was born March 15, 1939 and passed on April 1, 2014.
Stan is survived by his wife Julie, and 4 children, Craig, Tim, Bo, and Pepper. He is also survived by his eight grandchildren, Brook, Connor, Drew, Danielle, Gabriel, Molly, Billy, Audrey, and one brother Gene.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Helen, and one brother Darwin (Pete).
Stan resided in Battle Lake where he was retired from sales. His hobbies included gardening, birds, fishing, cooking, and cars. He had a heart as big as his smile. He loved and was loved by many.

A Celebration of Stan's Life will be 2:00 pm, Saturday, April 5th at the Battle Lake Community Center. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at a later date in the First Lutheran Cemetery in Battle Lake. Glende-Nilson Funeral Home of Battle Lake assisted with the arrangements.
