Thelma Klimek, 84 of Evansville died Tuesday, August 9, 2011 at her home.

Thelma Alma Klimek was born on February 19, 1927 by Vining, Minnesota the daughter of Hubert and Louise (Roers) Becker. She was baptized and confirmed in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Urbank. Thelma attended country school in Leaf Mountain Township then graduated from the Parkers Prairie High School in 1945.

Thelma and James Klimek were married on June 28, 1951 in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. After their marriage, Thelma was a homemaker along with working with Jim on their dairy and grain farm in Brandon Township. In March of 2008 they moved into Evansville. Thelma enjoyed bowling, putting puzzles together, playing cards especially whist and also liked solitaire, was a gardener and really loved her flowers. Thelma and Jim played whist in many surrounding communities and liked going to casinos. She was a member of St. Anna�(TM)s Catholic Church and the Christian Mothers.

She is survived by her husband, Jim; daughter, Beverly (George) Dickey of Evansville; four grandchildren, Michelle (Ryan) Vipond of Aberdeen, S.D., James (Celeste) Dickey of Evansville, Micheal Dickey of Alexandria and Travis (fiancAC.e, Patty Grover) Dickey of Evansville; three great-grandchildren, Nicholas and Rebecca Vipond and Greta Dickey; five brothers, Lloyd Becker of Osakis, Marvin Becker of Vining, Norbert Becker of Mesa, Az., Herbert Becker of Vining and Lester (Joan) Becker of Vining; and by numerous relatives and friends. Thelma was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Leona Becker and one brother, Harvey Becker.

Funeral Mass: 11 am, Wednesday, August 17, 2011 at St. Anna�(TM)s Catholic Church in Brandon
Visitation: Tuesday from 4 to 7 pm with a Rosary followed by Parish Prayers at 5:30 pm at the St. Anna�(TM)s Catholic Church.
Clergy: Fr. LeRoy Scheierl
Interment: St. Anna�(TM)s Catholic Cemetery
Funeral Home: Glende-Nilson of Evansville.
