Thomas Boedigheimer

Thomas Boedigheimer, 72, of Fergus Falls, died Friday, February 26, 2016, at Lake Region Hospital in Fergus Falls.

Thomas Jerome Boedigheimer was born in Perham, MN on July 8, 1943, the son of Carl and Helen (Belka) Boedigheimer. He attended country school in rural Perham and went on to graduate from Cottonwood High School. Tom entered the US Army, where he was stationed in Korea and in Germany, before being honorably discharged in January 1969. An aspiring salesman, Tom took the Dale Carnegie course and went to work for Beechnut, where he was a candy and confectionery salesman.

While at a dance in Milwaukee, Thomas met Judie Elliott, and they later married in 1969. They were blessed with two sons – Kevin in December of 1970 and Brian in May of 1974.

A natural salesman, Tom went on to work for Reader's Digest / QSP in Hudson, WI, proudly retiring in 2006 at age 62. In his years of sales, Tom received many awards and accolades from his employers. He was most proud of his activities in helping children raise funds for their schools in Wisconsin and Minnesota.

Tom is survived by his two sons, Kevin of Golden Valley, MN, and Brian (fiance Tina) of Red Wing, MN; five siblings, Michael (Sue) of Marshall, MN, Greg of Perham, Mary Melo of Perham, Diane (Jeff) Aschnewitz of Fergus Falls, Carla (Keith Price) Floberg of Fergus Falls; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Tom was preceded in death by a three brothers, Marc, Steve, and Larry.

Visitation: 5 – 7 PM Monday, at Glende-Nilson Funeral Home, Fergus Falls, and one hour prior to services at the funeral home.

Memorial Service: 10:30 AM Tuesday, March 1, 2016, at Glende-Nilson Funeral Home, Fergus Falls

Clergy: Father Alan Wielinski

Interment: St. Lawrence Catholic Cemetery, Rush Lake
