Timothy A. Anderson, 50 of Evansville died Thursday, December 27, 2012 at the Douglas County Hospital in Alexandria, Minnesota.
Timothy Allen Anderson was born on March 20, 1962 in Pelican Rapids, Minnesota. The son of Luther and Ardelle (Johnson) Anderson, he was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Faith. He attended the Evansville Public School graduating from the Evansville High School in 1981.
Timothy and Bernice Horvat were married on September 18, 1982 in St. Mary's Catholic Church in Alexandria, Minnesota. After their marriage they lived in Breckenridge where Tim was employed with the Larry Murdoff Farm. They then moved to Evansville, then Alexandria, and then returned to Evansville. Tim worked for the Alexandria Rubbish/WM hauling garbage, then Waste Management, then worked for Western Lumber Co. before starting on with the Pope-Douglas Solid Waste Management all of Alexandria. He was an employee for the Pope-Douglas Solid Waste Management for twenty-one years, first as a crane operator, then as boiler operator and the last position was Shift Supervisor for the boiler operators. Tim served with the Fergus Falls Army Reserve for eleven years. He enjoyed American War History, his walks on the walking trail and in high school he played football and wrestled. Tim liked attending the Rollag Threshing Show every year with his Dad and Brother. He was a member of the Evansville Fire Department for over sixteen years serving as Chief from February 2009 - January 2012. He also had served on the Evansville City Council along with the Mound Grove Cemetery Board. Tim was a member of the Calvary Covenant Church.
He is survived by his wife, Bernice; daughter, Stephanie Kay Anderson of Fargo; two sons, Allen Timothy Anderson of Alexandria and Brian Alexander Anderson of Evansville; parents, Luther and Ardelle Anderson of Evansville; one brother, Dennis (Jeanette) Anderson of Sebeka; and by numerous relatives and friends. Tim was preceded in death by one sister, Cherryl Anderson Martell; grandparents, Herman and Alice Johnson and Burton and Margaret Anderson and by one niece and one nephew, Christine and Christopher.
Family prefers memorials in lieu of flowers.
Memorial Service: 11 AM Monday, December 31, 2012 at Evansville School, Evansville, Minnesota
Visitation: one hour prior to the service at the school

Interment: Mound Grove Cemetery in Evansville
