Vernon J. Lien of Perham, MN passed away August 4, 2015.
Born to Martin and Ruth Lien in Veblen, SD on November 5, 1925. Survived by children Shirley (Jeff) Belknap, Ron (Pam) Lien, Jerry (Becky) Lien, Sheri (Rob) Meyers, Martin (Marilyn) Lien; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother Noel (Carolyn) Lien; sisters Gloria Van Auken and Evelyn Tuenge; other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by his parents; daughter Dianne Fay; wife and mother of his children Alvina Graf; wives Barb Reynolds and Marie Ahlman; and sister Shirley (Lloyd) Zahler. We will remember his deep love for his family, his great infectious laugh, his strong family values and playing poker all night long with all the guys on the fishing openers. Vern will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
A private family gathering will be held spreading his ashes and celebrating Vern's life.
