Vicky McNulty, 58, of Watkins, Minnesota passed away Monday, December 2, 2013 at her home.
Vicky Marie McNulty was born on September 11, 1955 in Rochester, Minnesota to Leo "Blair" and Dorothy (Meinke) McNulty. She was baptized and raised in the Catholic Church and graduated from the St. Louis Park High School in 1974. Vicky attended school for Cosmetology in the Twin Cities and specialized in nails. She worked in salons but was mainly a homemaker after her children arrived.
Vicky loved music, enjoyed cooking, gardening and really liked time with her family, especially spoiling her kids and grandkids. She would say she had a "funky" style and always appreciated anything artsy. Mom was always willing to help anyone, even a stranger in need. She often treated others' children as if they were her own and was the epitome of the phrase "treat others as you would like to be treated". With those closest to her, Vicky was a beacon of light and would always bring a smile to your face. She finished every telephone conversation with "I love you" and I am glad it was the last words I said to her. Our mom was a cherished person and will be missed dearly.
Vicky is survived by her father, Leo McNulty of Fergus Falls; two daughters, Venessa (Joel) Salinas of St. Cloud and Stacia (Gabriel) Ortiz of Battle Lake; two sons, Adrian McNulty of Minneapolis and Daniel (Heather Ell) McNulty of Apple Valley; six grandchildren, Joel, Gonzalo, Orlando, Anthony and Isabella Salinas and Jaxson Ortiz; and by numerous relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her mother, Dorothy McNulty and by her sister, Linda Cooper.
