Viola Estenson

Viola Estenson, 89, of Fergus Falls died Sunday, May 18, 2014 at Pioneer Care.
Viola Regina Estenson was born June 30, 1924 to Anton and Caroline (Nochleby) Gerhardson in Ottertail County. She graduated from Fergus Falls High School.

In February 1946, Viola was united in marriage to Hartvick (Hucky) Estenson and they made their home in Fergus Falls. Viola and Hucky worked at Otter Tail Power Company. After their retirement, Viola and Hucky purchased a home on Wall Lake where they enjoyed the lifestyle of lake living. During the winters, they would spend several months in the warmer climate of New Mexico. They enjoyed the outdoor activities especially golf in the summer and snowmobiling with Rough Riders in the winter. They were members of the Legion, VFW, Elks, Eagles and Bethlehem Lutheran Church. Hucky passed away on December 16, 2006.

Viola was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Hartvick; brother Neil Gerhardson; brothers-in-law, Donald Estenson, and Virgil Estenson.
She is survived by her twin sister Violet Martinson of Chula Vista, CA; her brother Bennie Gerhardson of Fergus Falls; numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services: 10:30 AM Friday, May 23, 2014 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Fergus Falls

Visitation: Thursday from 5 to 7 PM at Glende-Nilson Funeral Home, Fergus Falls and one hour prior to the service at the church
