Yvonne Langer, 75, of Fergus Falls, died Sunday, August 17, 2014, at her home under the care of Lakeland Hospice.
Yvonne Josephine Lahren was born on June 26, 1939 in Kindred, North Dakota, the daughter of Morris and Julia (Jensven) Lahren. She attended Nygaard and Woods country schools by Leonard, North Dakota through the eighth grade, and went on to attend Ritters Beauty School in Fergus Falls. Yvonne later went back to school to earn her GED.
On April 8, 1964, Yvonne married Francis Langer at St. Ansgar's Catholic Church in Alice, ND.
Yvonne and Francis lived in numerous places over the years and over the years, Yvonne worked as a hairdresser, waitress, cook, nurse's aide, and foster grandparent. Yvonne had many interests, which include reading, crocheting, puzzles, cooking and gardening. Perhaps Yvonne's greatest joy was the opportunity to help raise her granddaughter Trisha.
Yvonne is survived by her daughter, Joyce Langer of Fergus Falls; granddaughter, Trisha; brothers, Gerald (Shirlee) Lahren of Fargo, ND and Kent (Jan) Lahren of Walcott, ND; aunt, Janet Jensven of Davenport, ND; brothers and sisters-in-law, Wayne Burkhart, Raymond Langer, Mitsuko Lahren and Monica Lahren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Yvonne was preceded in death by her husband, Francis; three sisters, Mary Jane, Beverly and Donna; and two brothers, Marvin and Keith.
Mass of Christian Burial: 10:30 AM Wednesday, August 20, 2014, at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church, Fergus Falls, with visitation one hour prior to services at the church

Interment: St. Otto's Catholic Cemetery
