Carolyn Busko

Carolyn Busko, 74, of Fergus Falls, died Wednesday, September 21, 2016 at Essentia Health in Fargo, ND.

Junice Carolyn Elaine Eggum was born on June 7, 1942, in Fergus Falls, MN the daughter of Phillip and Clara (Nelson) Eggum. Carolyn attended country school and went on to graduate from Ashby High School.

In 1962, Carolyn married Paul Busko in Ashby, MN, and they were blessed with two children.

In 1992, Carolyn met a special friend, Robert Dyke and they made their home in Dalton, later moving to Fergus Falls. Bob died in 2009 and Carolyn remained in Fergus Falls.

Over the years, Carolyn served as a cook in several different places. She also worked many years as a caregiver in the healthcare field. In 2015, Carolyn retired from Productive Alternatives in Fergus Falls. In her spare time, Carolyn enjoyed shopping, visiting with people, and caring for others. She was a kind, caring soul who could always be counted on. Carolyn was most recently a member of Calvary Free Lutheran Church in Fergus Falls and prior to that was a member of Zion-Sarpsborg in Dalton. She will be missed by her family and her dear friends.

Carolyn is survived by her daughter, Rhonda Jensen of Fergus Falls; two grandchildren, Alisha (Matthew) Hendrickson of North Dakota and Trent Jensen of Fergus Falls; six great-grandchildren, Hailey, Wyatt, Riley, Dillynn, Emmery, and Madison; a brother, Rodney (Mavis) Eggum of Dalton; and many special nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Paul Stephen Jr.; brothers and sisters, Harold, Lavern, and Phyllis; and special niece and nephew, Barbara and Gary.

Visitation: 5 – 7 PM Monday, with a 6:30 PM Prayer Service, at Glende-Nilson Funeral Home in Fergus Falls, and one hour prior to services.

Memorial Service: 2 PM Tuesday, September 27, 2016, at Glende-Nilson Funeral Home in Fergus Falls

Clergy: Reverend Jim Johnson

Interment: Sarpsborg Lutheran Cemetery, rural Dalton
