Lisa Hanson, 54 of rural Ashby died Monday, August 12, 2019, at her home.
Lisa Beth Hanson was born on September 21, 1964, in Elbow Lake, Minnesota the daughter of Jerome and Carolyn (Isakson) Alke. She was baptized in Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Barrett and confirmed in Faith Lutheran Church in Evansville. Lisa graduated from the Evansville High School in 1983, and then continued her education at the University of Minnesota in Crookston.
She was employed for a number of years in the hospitality business with Perkins, Kraemer's and at The Peak Supper Club. Lisa also worked for Arrowwood Resort in Alexandria, as the Stables Manager, for over twenty years. She was an avid horse lover and spent every minute she could riding and caring for her horses. At thirteen, she started riding with the Grant County Wagon Train and also rode on many trail rides over the years.
Lisa is survived by two children, Jeremy (Jaclyn) Sayre, and Jackie (Dan) Webb of Elbow Lake and grandchildren Easton, Bristol and Reese (Sayre) and Wyatt (Webb); mother, Carolyn Alke of Barrett; three siblings, Douglas Alke of Anchorage, Alaska, Susan (Shane) Englund of Evansville and Kara (Patrick) Schultz of Lake City, SD; nieces and nephews, Dylan Alke, Alex and Emily Englund, and Max, Douglas and Zachary Schultz; and by numerous relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her grandparents and her father, Jerome Alke.
