Shawn Olson

Shawn Sherwood Olson was born September 12, 1965 in Fergus Falls, MN to Herbert Olson and Verna Mae (Toso) Lindberg.  After his schooling, Shawn worked for over 20 years at the Salvation Army in Fergus Falls where he loved the staff and the people he saw every day.  He enjoyed riding his Harley, spending time with his family and telling old stories and jokes.

Shawn passed away on Tuesday, September 1, 2020 at his residence surrounded by his loved ones after a long battle with cancer.

He is survived by his mother, Verna; his significant other, Amy Shol; his children, Dalton (Morgan) Olson and Joplin Shol (Scott Krause); two sisters, Shari and Julie; two brothers, Jeff and Mark and several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends and family from the Salvation Army.  He is also survived by his special dog, Cuda, that stayed by his side until the end.  He was preceded in death by his father, Herbert; a sister, Sheila; two brothers, Mike and Dale and his step-father, Dale.

Visitation will take place on Thursday, September 3, 2020 from 8 - 9:45 A.M. at the Salvation Army in Fergus Falls

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, September 3, 2020 at 10:00 A.M. at the Salvation Army in Fergus Falls.
