Terrence M. Collins passed away at the age of 83, at Memory Care in Pelican Rapids, Minnesota on January 9, 2021.

Terry, the son of Maurice and Agnes (Lay) Collins was born on September 3, 1937, in Barnesville, MN where he attended Assumption Catholic School and graduated from Barnesville High School in 1956. He then went on to attend MSU in Moorhead. Terry was in the Air National Guard as a Medic from 1955 until 1964. He was honorably discharged as a Staff Sargent. Terry assisted his uncle at Collins Funeral Home until it was sold to Don Dobmeier and was then known as Dobmeier Funeral Home. Terry went on to help with ambulance calls with the Dobmeier Funeral Home. When the ambulance was sold to the City of Barnesville, Terry was manager for a number of years. Terry also served as Mayor of Barnesville from 1981-1985. Terry was employed by Collins Oil Company, Deans Bulk and Curtis Rehder as a bulk delivery driver. Terry married Cheryll Dullum on January 31, 1975. They had one son, Benjamin.

Terry is survived by his son, Ben of Barnesville; two brothers, Patrick (Judith) Collins of Hudson, WI and James (Carol) Collins of Blaine, MN; two sisters, Colleen (Roger) Possehl of Lake Lizzie and Pamela (Kenwood) Carr of Barnesville, MN along with many nephews and nieces.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Maurice and Agnes Collins and Cheryll Collins.

A burial will be held in the spring of 2021 for Terry Collins.
