Wayne Bye

Wayne Marshall Bye was born June 15, 1930 to LaFern Smith Washburn and Edwin Brewer Washburn in North Dakota. He had one sister Edwina, who was two years older. When he was about 11 years old, he and Edwina moved to Brandon, Minnesota with his family. His mother married Clarence Bye and Wayne then took his name.

He married Nancy Lyckholm at St. Petri Church on October 3, 1954. They had four children: C. Earl Bye, Mike Bye, Susan (Bye) Auer, and Steve Bye. Wayne later married Patty then Phyllis.

He lived in North Dakota, Minnesota, Alaska, Wyoming, Colorado and Wisconsin, spending the majority of his life in Colorado. His careers spanned from Lutheran pastor to writing books about gambling strategies.

Wayne passed away at the Evansville Care Center on May 30, 2019, at the age of 88 years.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, June 29, 2019 at 2:00 PM at St. Petri Lutheran Cemetery, rural Brandon.
